Stubbers Young Mariners (SYM) Courses SYM offers our members a range of RYA approved courses including: levels 1 and 2 sailing proficiency spinnaker course seamanship course assistant instructor Power/safety boat All courses are run by RYA approved instructors. Please see our current events calender for provisional dates We have a pool of RYA approved instructors and assistant instructors Safety first SYM sailing club takes safety very seriously and our aim is to make your learning as risk free as possible. We are regulated by the RYA, meeting all their reccomendations/guidelines and are regularly inspected by them. All the instructors are qualified and experienced in the sailing and safety/ power boat levels they teach and are first aid qualified. To ensure your safety SYM sailing club reserves the right to change courses/dates and venue if there is an unnaceptable risk. Some courses need specific wind to assess candidates performance. If the prevailing conditions are unacceptable an alternate date will be arranged. All equipment provided is fit for its purpose. Should you wish to bring your equipment please do so but it must be approved by the course instructor before use.
